what i've done twice now is make an entirely magic/faith build, 40 int and faith, you'll be able to heal yourself and also use second chance in case anything actually gets close to you. Invest in Intel and magic power and get yuria from 1-3 for Firestorm, which kills everything. i know its not ideal, but I want a run something thats a mix of everything.
